Parbati cave news

New Parvati cave found in Deupur मंगलबार, २८ मंसिर, २०७३ मा imahekhabar प्रकाशित , Parbat, Dec 13: A peculiar cave has been discovered at Deupur VDC – 5 along the Pokhara – Baglung highway.  The locals of Deupur came across the cave located at the bank of the Ghatte river of Tappu village. The villagers already knew about the cave but only on Saturday did they access the cavernous space inside and the vastness took them by surprise. They also discovered peculiar but attractive images and artworks, local teacher, Bhumi Raj Sharma said. "We had been told before that there is a cave in the village, but we had not accessed to the depth and inspected like this," Sharma said, adding, "We have found enticing images that draw at our hearts." The attractive images made out of limestone will attract domestic and external tourists. The teachers and students of Jananetra Secondary School have been on an errand to search for spots and locations resonating

New way of doing research

. New way of doing Rsearch Some educational researchers have been employing not only new research instruments and techniques, but also exploring new ways to do research, indeed, new ways to be a researcher and be a scholar (eg, see Greenhow, Robelia & Hughes, 2009). For example, over the recent years, we saw a growth of large-scale research projects that explore the potential and possibilities of collaborative research, such as the sharing of educational datasets in “datashops,” hosting research communities and innovation networks in virtual research environments, and collaboratively annotating video observations using online video analysis tools. The emergence of some blended methodological fields—such as virtual ethnography, learning analytics and educational informatics—further evidences the potential of digital technologies to open new areas of educational inquiry and make a critical contribution researching and improving e-learning (eg, see Markauskaite, Fitzgerald, Herring

E-research summary

eResearch is the term applied to the use of information and  communication technologies (ICT's) to the practice of research. Key areas  include collaboration, computation (including high performance computing),  visualisation, research data management and tools. e-Research (1) takes advantage of Internet-based tools and techniques, (2) use of digital tools, technologies and processes applied to the research activities, and (3) collaborative research will be undertaken virtually with the support of information and communications techno

Issues of e-research

6. Issues of e-Research Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)’s e-Social  Science programme set up between 2010 and 2012 for established and new researchers  to discuss the use of new digital research methods and their associated methodological  impact.  A number of issues raised at that original workshop are developed through contributions to this special issue. First is using digital tools for research in educational contexts. This includes both software, whether dedicated data collection apps that run on Smartphones and tablet computers or more generic tools, such as Facebook and other social media websites, originally set up for a different purpose, and hardware, whether handheld or desktop. Educational contexts range from the formal such as online discussion tools associated with a college virtual learning environment to the informal, such as discussion in a ‘chat room’ or comments on a ‘blog’. As web content continues to evolve and grow, opportunities for the use of

E-research challenges

5. Challanges It doesn't mean the Internet is the right medium for every study, or that it doesn't raise some serious concerns, both practical and ethical, researchers say. The practical challenges include: Obtaining an unbiased sample. No uniform system for randomly selecting e-mail addresses exists, and not all segments of the population have equal access to the Internet. Verifying the identity of participants. E-mail addresses are hard to match to other forms of identification, single computers can be used by multiple people and minors can easily masquerade as adults. Controlling the experimental environment. Participants can access Internet-based experiments from settings as diverse as an office, a bedroom, a coffee shop, a library or, using a wireless device, almost anywhere. E-research book

e-Reseach: BOOK 1. Introduction The emergence of Web 2.0 tools that enable people to collaborate, create and share  information online has led to the use of new digital research methods. Across a  range of contexts in education, these new practices are changing the landscape of  research collaboration, data collection, analysis and dissemination(Jocelyn Wishart  a   & Michael Thomas, 2015) eResearch is a concept or word which has come into vogue in academic research circles since  2000. Fundamentally, it is collaborative and interactive research made possible by the Internet  and data and computational grids (Bill Appelbe and David Bannon, 2007) Over the last 10 years, educational research has seen a range of methodological innovations that  have been closely coupled with the development of digital technologies (Markauskaite, 2010,  2011).These developments—sometimes referred to under the umbrella terms of “e-research” and  “Cyberinfrastructure”—include three major areas:

Mini research report format

(Note: The sequence of the sections can be altered to suit the discipline and the research methodology being applied.) a. Title: Give appropriate title to your research. Keep it short, specific and catchy. b. Abstract: Write the abstract of your work in 250 words c. Background: mention the background against which you are conducting your study d. Problem Statement: State the problem clearly. This is related to your research question. What is the answer you want to find from your research e. Literature Review and Research Gaps: Write a comprehensive review of literature that are related to your work. This will form the basis for your methodology, conceptual framework and theoretical insights. Based on the review of literature, show clearly where the knowledge gap is and how does your research help fill up the knowledge gap. f. Theoretical/Conceptual Framework: Give a clear picture of what conceptual/theoretical framework you are adopting to pursue your research and to analyse you
